Program:
7:15 am meeting 7:30 am departure from Milan Piazza della Repubblica c / o number 5, near the newspaper kiosk. Departure to St. Moritz (or from the chosen loading point)
11:30 am Arrival in Saint Moritz, (1,822 m asl), time available for a popular tour in the area of the lakes, a bit of shopping or a stop at one of the very tasty local pastry shops. Free lunch.
In the early afternoon meeting at the station, accommodation on the panoramic carriages.
Departure on the Bernina Express to Tirano. The train moves smoothly, overcoming slopes of up to 70 per thousand. The view of the Morte-ratsch glacier and the famous Montebello curve is stunning. The train then continues along the White Lake and the Laj Neir up to Alpe Gruem to end the journey to Tirano, (429 m s.l.m).
Arrival in Tirano.
Departure by bus; return to Milan with expected arrival around 20.00 – 20.30.
